cab
im going to buy a new cab today however it is a 69 and my truck is a 71. would everything fit correctly after the swap and would it bolt up to my frame the same way as the 71 cab?

WELCOME! yes, everything should bolt up just the same. The cabs are identical. rad support is different but no change in the cabs....just make sure you're okay with swapping cabs in california.....they MAY be issues with putting it on the road with a cab with a changed out vin plate. The factory rivets were rosette style and can't legally be sold....

the throttle linkage in 69 is a solid rod push throttle, and the 71 is a pull cable type.
The easy way would be to convert to the rod, but the cable is a better/safer set up. The firewalls aren't the same as far as throttle assembly provisions. |

yeah, but it won't matter as far as making the cab work. 71 has a raised mounting pad for the rear view mirror (no other year had it) but again, it doesn't matter.
