here it is a 72 gmc custom sport swb 350/350 a/c headliner custom clouth the guy said his dad owned it for 15 years and gave it to him 12 years ago take a look all i have is one pic and let me know i found this on cl and made a good deal over the phone so i drove 234 miles today to take a look at it in person i got in late in still nervas and cant sleep

Looks nice! Is it a Super Custom? That would be the Custom Deluxe equivalent,so some of that interior stuff was added,which only made it nicer. There was no Custom Sport.

So I a great time buying this truck #1 road trip 2 a nice little p/u 3 the journey back home so here we go I got it for little of noting $2200 it's a 350/350 a/c p/s p/b very stock very little rust nice driver well I drove off in it after a tast drive and got 10 miles about 2 miles up the highway and it started acting like it was runing out of gas so I pulled over jump in the car behind me and got some gas it started and got 3 more miles so know I have to stay the nite I'm come across a nice rv at a very good price so I got that to the next day it needed brakes I fond this very cool shop told these guys that I need some help so they give me a good deal and stoped working on two of there jobs and fixed my rv so the owner of the shop fall in love with the gmc and had best guys get the gmc runing great I told him im towing the gmc with the rv and I'll fix it wean I get home it was slot of fun and I got to meet some very cool guys I'll post some pics

its all good spirit.. i understoof everyword and i can say its a good thing you have some patience cuase i would have been a bit pi$$ed off if i had to go thru all that crap to get a truck home......
hopefully its a simple fix on the short bed.. looks to be a really nice driver and sounds like a really good price (well up till it broke down 10miles down the road)
take better pics ..... i actually really like the green/white. looks nice..

No sweat man I ran my truck home 350miles 80 mph with a bad clutch an only one motor mount bolted down an that's just to start

It's actually Green and Cream, not Green and White. Does anyone know if this color was a factory color? Because the previous owner told me it was factory but I've never seen this color combo. (P.S. This was written by his son. :p)

Sounds like you have a clogged fuel filter. Truck will run for a mile or so and suck enough crap into the filter to stop it up, so the truck dies. When fuel pump stops pumping, all the crud held onto the filter by the pump falls away. That is why you can restart the truck again and drive for another mile or so before it happens again. Replace your fuel filter(s).

Hey,your spelling's nit bad at all. Now back to the truck,how is Sport Custom spelled? Is it Super Custom? That's how I spell it

. The creme isn't a factory color. The green isn't either,just similar to Medium Olive Poly. Sounds like that previous owner likes to tell a tale some. He probably also said he wouldn't hesitate to run that truck to California,too. Hey,I think you did good no matter what he said.

Has the truck been sitting for a while? Maybe some bad gas or varnished up in the carb? Did you put some fresh gas in it?

Good lookin truck man. I like the two tone paint. Mine's a stepper or I would paint mine two tone.

Ya I put fresh gas and a a guy at a shop took if apart cleaned it put back in the truck ran it for a hour the carb was getting full of gas and cutting out sorry about the spelling I swap the tires on the gmc and the sport they look great I'll post pics wean I get home

man some people have the luck funny trucks like that here in calif are going for 12,000 to 22,000 and he gets it for under 2400.00 man i would pull money out of my credit card and have a interest rate of 24% a month just to have that thing follow me home i could sell that thing for easy like 9000.00 in one day
