Washer Pump hose routing... Help!

Two questions about the washer pump:

(1) How do the hoses route once they leave the "squirters" on the cowl? Out the hole in the cowl into the engine compartment, across the firewall... and through which hole? All the old stuff was gone, this is going in from scratch.

(2) The instructions with the pump said to remove the old 4 lobe cam and replace it with the new supplied one. How does it come off? I cussed and pried, then cussed and pried some more and it did not budge. How do I get it off? As a part 2 to #2, do I have to replace it? The new one seems to be just a bit larger, which may push the piston s bit further. Any ideas?

Thanks again!
