I love junkyarding

I got to spend the day in the junk yards!!
My wife thinks I'm crazy when I tell her I had a wonderful day.
Sun shinning ,crisp temps and new surprises around every corner.
I know some of you must know what I mean.
Came home with a pickup full of treasures (junk she calls it) I guess beauty is in the eye
Anyway here's some pics of my perfect day

My wife thinks it is funny, every time I goto the junkyards I tell her I am going to the park to relax ! When we first got togeather, it took her 6 months to figure out what I was talking about ! There is nothing like a good day of relaxing parts shoping IMO

From my experiences, don't trust anything "already in primer". Most likely it is hiding something.

Looks like you found some good stuff though!

Love the junkyards, I use to jump the fence when I was a kid and just snoop around, never had any reason to buy anything back then, but you can imagine the treasures back in the late 60's, and to this day I still like combing the bone yards. gezz what does that say

Solver,

I was in Windom, MN yesterday. Went to Windom Wrecking and found something that bothered me. About a 71 with more options than I'd ever seen close up. It had AC, PS, dual tanks, under bed tool box, camper wiring, heavy duty springs, factory rear slider, tilt steering and full gages, but forgot to check for a tach. The problem was that the tilt was replaced with non tilt at some time, and the truck was in very poor condition. He said he had the complete AC set up, but the moter and tranny were pulled and I think the compressor went with it. The inside AC vents were gone. The tool box was there and in desent shape, but the door was rusted pretty bad. The slider was there, latch broke. It seemed like anything I personally would have wanted was broke missing or just in poor condition.

The owner said he saved it from a crusher, but for what I'm not really sure.

BTW, he also had a Blazer ther, K-5. Very tough shape, but for some desparado out there, a labor of love and a big body work bill.

HG
