Shackle flip ?

My 69 k5 has a 4 in shackle flip on it and there are two spring location holes , i am gonna use stock 52in springs and 4.5 in shackle . I think i need to use the front holes but couldnt find many pictures on the net of them with two spring location holes . Am i right about using the front holes ? And are the rear holes there for using 56 in springs and a longer shackle ? Thanks for any help Name: Picture 074.jpg

Re: Shackle flip ?

Do you know the manufacturer of the flip? Never seen one like that before. The set of holes may be there to tune your shackle angle based on spring length, arch, and shackle length.

the previous owner told me he ordered them from ord. I looked on there web site and the ones i saw looked a little diff, but i think they were on a 73 and newer and i saw a 69-72 had a diff part number . I found a little info on another brand sky manufacturing i think they were cald , it did say something about you could use a 56 in spring with a longer shackle on theres and theres had two holes like these . gonna call ord tomorrow and ask what there 69-72 s look like .

Re: Shackle flip ?

No, looking for a complete hatch now. The crosstied shackles from DIY4X are real beefy, I bought a set of 4.5"& a set of 6", just to have what I need to set it up right! Everything from DIY4X is right on HD!
