Re: 67-68 & 69-72 GMC Radiator Supports Now Available

Question: I thought GMC core support were the same or would work on all year models 67-72? I have a 71 GMC core support and 68 front fenders and hood. Will this work? Thought all I needed is to get a 67-68 hood latch. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: 67-68 & 69-72 GMC Radiator Supports Now Available

The difference between the 67-68 GMC radiator support and the 69-72 is the 67-68 has 6 holes across the bottom for the front splash shield used on 67-68 trucks. 69-72 did not use splash shields so they don't have these 6 holes, you can make these holes on a 69-72 though. Otherwise they are the same.

Paul, wanted to let you know that the GMC radiator support I rceived from you guys fits my 70' GMC great. I am waiting for my front fenders to come back from the painter for final install. Only one screw hole has been off so far...one hole for radiator retainer was tapped and placed wrong.

Glad to hear it went in smoothly except for the 1 screw hole. Makes life so much simpler for us GMC owners not having to move our headlight frames to Chevy core supports to make our own GMC core support.
I would have replied sooner but my RA has had me crippled up the last few weeks making typing almost impossible at times.

glad to hear someone is making them! i would have been in the market, but stumbled across a very solid(minus 1/2" rust hole under battery) support one of the members was nice enough to part with.

im sure it should be a good seller as the word gets out!
