Auxiliary fuel tank switch location

How many different spots in the cab did the factory put the aux tank switch? I've seen them to the left and down of the driver, also( I think) over in the ciggy lighter area. I looked at a 72 3/4t that had a switch in the area to the left of the speedo( no pic, yet) in the metal area. Wonering if it's a factory thing or a "Red Green" thing. Kinda hard to describe it. Any help or pics would be appreciated.

Re: Auxiliary fuel tank switch location

The usual factory aux tank (NL2) fuel tank selector switch location for the single aux tank is down on the left sill in front of the seat belt - accompanied by the fuel gage selector switch up above the left a/c vent. The others were normally dealer installs (i.e. not factory) or entirely aftermarket arrangements (usually duals, but not always) and usually had the same lower left sill switching location. Some came with a fuel gage selector valve and some didn't.

EDIT: General rule of thumb
- floor switches are mechanical and switch the tank from which the fuel comes
- dash switches, if present at all, are electrical and switch the source for the fuel gage to display
