Steering arm for lift
I recently put a 4" lift on my 1990 Chevy Suburban 2500 4X4, a friend of mine had a drop steering arm with the same 3 bolt mounting. I installed the arm and it lifts the drag ling from the steering box perfect, but it bumps when I turn right. I does look like the steering arm he gave me moved the location of the drag link about 2" back towards the cab, resulting in loosing the right turn ability. Is this the incorrect arm? I have a 10 bolt Dana 44 front axle. He doesnt know what it was off of, but after looking at a few offroad sites for drop steering arms, they pictures they have of there arms look the same as the arm I have. Any ideas?

Re: Steering arm for lift
It sounds odd to me. The new arm should not move the connection point of the drag link in any direction but up. Front to back movement would affect the steering radius.
Just so you know, 10 bolt and Dana44 are two different things. Chevy phased-out the Dana44 in 77-78, so your '90 would have the corporate 10 bolt.

Re: Steering arm for lift
Take a picture of the steering arm and any part number you have on it.
