Dropped Spindles?

Hey guys,

Im looking at buying some drop spindles for my truck. The only problem is, the previous owner converted the truck from drums to disc using gbody spindles.

So I was wondering if any other type of drop car spindles would work on my truck? It doesn't bother me if I have to reem out the spindle holes as long as everything goes together tightly.

Does anybody have any idea on what would work inplace of the gbody spindle? The truck already has drop springs installed just wanting to go lower.

thanks
aaron

Re: Dropped Spindles?

I have heard that the 82-94 s-10 spindles are the exact same as the gbody stuff, can anybody confirm this?

Re: Dropped Spindles?

Dropped G body spindles should be easy enough to come by if it is using those now. I'd be figuring out exactly what I had now before attempting to buy anything else though

Re: Dropped Spindles?

thanks mr48. The gbody spindles are the same as s-10 spindles.

But the spindles thats on my truck came off a 77 monte carlo, which I just found out is an A-body, anybody know they difference if any between a-body and g-body?

Re: Dropped Spindles?

77 monte spindles on a 70 c-10? never seen this before. If that is so , the dropped spindles from a 1995ish impala ss should fit the ball joints (of a 77 monte carlo) , but the rotors are different , larger bolt pattern on impala. You can use a mid 90's 1le camro rotor to get to a small bolt pattern again, you just need to buy more parts. - Hope this helps
