GMC:Hydramatic Parts
I have a nearly complete Hydramatic set up for a 55-59 GMC. I have the carburator/linkage, shift linkage, transmission, cross member, bell housing, torque converter, flywheel, steering column/linkage. The only part that I think I am missing is the starter. I would like to sell this as a complete set up only. This was all pulled out of a non running vehicle and all parts will need to be overhauled. If anyone is interested I will take pictures and post them on here.
The price is $600 for everything I have. I am also very interested in trading all of these parts for a complete Chevy Hydramatic set up for a 55-59 truck. I am located just south of Houston, TX.

Re: GMC:Hydramatic Parts
Sorry I forgot they are different. My parts are from a V/8 truck. The Chevy parts that I need are also for a v/8 truck.

Re: GMC:Hydramatic Parts
I'm in need of the shift linkages and the bell crank that bolts to the intake manifold. Bell crank to carb rod, bell crank to tranny (should have a spring with it, attaches to a tab on the tranny) and have a threaded end with a couple adjustable nuts. Would also like the lever off the tranny. Would also like to have the rod which goes from steering column to tranny to select gears.
Thanks, Andy Taylor |

Re: GMC:Hydramatic Parts
I will try to post pictures of the linkages for you soon. From what I can tell I should have everything.

Sorry guys. Getting settled into a new job and getting my house ready to sell. I keep forgetting about the car stuff. I will try to get some pictures on the board tomorrow.

Re: GMC:Hydramatic Parts
No problem. I'm happy to forego the pictures and buy the linkage setup from you as I described. Would also be interested in the small metal tube vacuum line from the distributor to the carb, the road draft tube and its clamps, one at the head and one at the tranny pan. Would also like to buy the two valve cover breather caps. Would $150 for the lot be reasonable?

Re: GMC:Hydramatic Parts
Andy, I guess I must be missing something because I dont have anything that came off of the valve covers. I would really like to sell all the parts as a whole, but if the two of you need different parts and can buy most or all of the parts I could possibly split everything up. However if someone is interested in all the parts as a whole I would like to sell the lot whole versus splitting it up.
Anyways here are some pictures. I don't have a picture of the transmission itself because we are moving and it is in storage; however if someone wants me to I can get a picture of it as well. I also have the steering column with the shifter and some linkage in storage. I will try to take pictures of both items and post them as well. Here are the basic parts, flywheel, flywheel housing, trans cross member, and trans fluid filler tube (note the filler tube is cracked on bottom and will need work). Mounts holding the front of the transmission into place. Bracket that went on the interior portion of the firewall, and a piece of linkage that came off the transmission itself.

Re: GMC:Hydramatic Parts
The linkage bracket that bolted to the rear of the engine with the transmission linkage.
Another picture of the linkage. The original carburator with linkage on it that connected to the transmission.

Re: GMC:Hydramatic Parts
Hello.
Would you be interested in selling just the cross member and the linkage. Would you be able to send me a picture of the cross member so I know what to look for. Thanks Barry |

Re: GMC:Hydramatic Parts
Hell Pilotboat. Wow, sorry for the very late reply. I guess I should have updated this post but I no longer have any of the Hydramatic parts. But if I come across any more parts I will let everyone know.
