Question Carrier bearing install

.I need to replace the carrier bearing on my 67 GMC 1/2 ton. I bought an aftermarket bearing and it came with a big shield and a little ring ....

The shield on my drive shaft is in rough shape but the hole in the new one is way to big for the shaft it will almost go on the driveshaft it's self...

Do I use the little ring and where does it go ?

Do I reuse the shield from the original bearing for the rear driveshaft?
