Intake Manifold Is in..

I had to take off the Edelbrock 2101 due to a vac leak cause the rookie (me) must not have put a big enough bead of silicone on the intake when I installed it and I want to get a oil fll tube machined into it. So I decided since I had a original intake then what the hey put it on. I am going to run it until I get the edelbrock 2101 all taken care of. Its a little messy now but it will clean up good once I am done.

1st one is after I took off the other intake. I was amazed at how clean it was in there. No sludge at all.

Here is is all done with the original intake on it.

i notice in the second pic of the valve cover bolt is overtorqued if you look at the picture you see that the cover is crush down instead of being straight across flat i would remove the covers and hammer the covers level and regasket them then install them and hand tighten them then torque them down to 20 ft lbs
just my two cents
where in san jose ? my cousin live off of story rd.

Yep I noticed that to. Was going to take off the cover and flatten it out but it got late on me so that has made it tonights list. Mike you are right it was wheaties!!! The only thing I hate about it is the blue of the fel pro gaskets in the chevy orange. Dont get me wrong fel pro is the only gasket I will ever use unless in a major pinch but I am thinking about getting some orange or black model paint and doing a little touch up.
