Mansfield pecan festival and car show

Hey just passing along that Mansfield Tx. is have its annual pecan festival this upcoming weekend. New this year will be a car show.
D&D Rockin Rods car show Saturday Sept. 27th 10am-2pm

Mansfield Pecan Festival Friday — Carnival only, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Saturday — 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; carnival rides, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Where: Katherine Rose Park, 303 N. Walnut Creek Drive.

Cost: Admission is free. Tickets for carnival rides: Friday, unlimited rides for $25; on Saturday, varying costs per ride

Parking: Limited at Rose Park, but shuttles will run from nearby churches and schools — First United Methodist Church, 601 Pleasant Ridge Drive; Mansfield Church of Christ, 580 Pleasant Ridge Drive; Worley Middle School, 500 Pleasant Ridge; Ponder Elementary School, 102 Pleasant Ridge Drive; Legacy High School, 1263 N. Main St.

Other events Meredith’s Run for Bikes: 5K fun run at 8 a.m.

D&D Rockin’ Rods car show: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Town Park, 500 N. Main St., just west of Rose Park

Battle of the bands: 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m.

Entertainment: Steve Helms Band, 1:30-2:30 p.m.; The Great Mistakes, 4:30-5:15 p.m.

"Hometown Idol": 3 p.m. semi-finals; 5:30 p.m. finals

there's a show on west front street south of division in arlington same time. i can't decide which one to go to. will there be prizes for the car show? and it's free entry?
