Surf Blue
I strted this thread to show how I took my truck from being green and rusty to slick and blue along with some other stuff along the way. The pics below are where I was at in the build when I started this thread and the last pic is where it's at now. To see how it was all done you'll have to go through all the pages in this thread. As with any project it is never finished and I'm constantly changing things so feel free to comment ,criticize, or ask questions. THANKS for looking.

Re: Surf Blue
Wow man, that looks AMAZING. What size tires are those and how low did you drop it?

Re: Surf Blue
The tires are 275/40 /20 out back and 255/45/18 up front. I also had the front susp. chromed when I bagged it , along with the CPP swaybar. The truck also features halogen headlamps with a billet grille , and new bumpers front and rear.

Re: Surf Blue
That thing is sweet! I love the stance/wheels/tires, basically everything!
This sounds like a great build thread. I really like the wheels as well. Are those the chrome or polished Coys? Nevermind... I found my answer above.

Re: Surf Blue
surf blue from chrysler is the shiznit. Thought about painting my truck that color since it's close to the original medium blue. It seems to pull all the body lines out.

Re: Surf Blue
I REALLY dig the patina look on your truck the way it is now, and I usually dont like it. I know that isnt the plan for your truck, but it just works so well. Especially bagged on Coys with that perfect of a firewall.

Re: Surf Blue
Post up the actual color. I'm not sure of which one of the samples it was supposed to be. Solid color or 2 tone still?
BTW, it will turn out nice (you've done it right so far.....).

Re: Surf Blue
Here is the actual color it's going to be. It's a metallic color ,and the whole truck is going to be blue (no 2 tone). Very similar to Sacto Jims' truck just a little lighter and I mean " just a little" lighter. The other color chips in the pic above are colors I was also considering , but I saw a chrysler going down the road the other day that was Surf Blue and really liked it.

Re: Surf Blue
THANKS! By the way the blue G.M.C. tailgate is at work getting the indention where it says" GMC" shaved , so the green one is back on the truck for now. The plan is to have the truck painted by jan. of 09. As we get further on the bodywork ( there is plenty of it) I will post more pics as often as I can.
