Smile Glad to be back! Front CRSMBR Swap.

Hey Everyone,

Its been a while since I've posted on the board. Last spring we had a big basement flood which TOTALLY took my attention away from my truck habit and turned me into a carpenter. My computer room also got flooded, so the luxury of using the net for this kind of stuff was not on.

My poor '68 has thus been sadly neglected...until today.
Last spring I dragged the front clip from an '84 Chevy into the back yard and pulled-off the front crossmember. My intention is to install this thing, along with the 5-bolt spindles, disc brakes, and power steering onto the '68. Any advice? Any experiences? I'd appreciate any advice.

'94 F-150 from the "F word" company. I'll admit it...good truck. Sold what was left of it for $800 to a guy who came to pick it up at 11:00 PM with cash in hand. Hmm.
'79 Sierra Grande (Black) organ donor - perfect rebuildable 4-bolt 350 and a good TH350.
'76 Sierra Grande (Orange) - hate isn't too strong a word. Kid who bought it turned it into a hot rod.

'59 C-50 - with hoist. Truck is gone, wife isn't. Nuff said.

Bluec10 Clarification

Just to clarify - I want to put the '84 front end on my '68. The other truck is just an old critter that I can actually drive until the '68 is ready to roll. No trucks hurt in the flood - but we had to gut a finished basement and replace all the furniture. Thank goodness for good insurance.
