Door Window part question

I have a 1964 GMC Fleetside.

Inside the drivers door, there is a metal rail that the window felt lays in and lets the door slide up and down. It is bolted to the door in 2 places, top and bottom. It is on the end of the door that has the door handle on it, not on the hinge side of the door. Mine broke at the bottom bolt, and now when I roll my window down, it slides out of the felt, does not align, and its a major PITA to get the window back up.

Is this called the division bar? I really could not find a good pic anywhere of it in the LMC catalog, so I'm hoping someone here can help.

Thanks,

Chad

Re: Door Window part question

Rear glass guide, not reproduced. If the two pieces are there it can be welded back together. I have several in parts trucks but I have repaired them before no problem.

Re: Door Window part question

Just awesome....Well, at least I can weld. I guess I'll have to take it apart and fix it.

Thanks for the help 63burban!

Re: Door Window part question

I got the piece out, and took it to work. Our welder is going to TIG it for me, since I only weld sometimes, and he does it for a living....

It being thin metal, I thought it best not to MIG it.
