I know I need to put pictures on here and maybe I will soon but I mostly just wanted to tell everyone what I did Thursday night. It's finally starting to get cold here and I decided to fix the heat on my 70. I installed a new fan motor new heater core all new seals a new relay and lubed and painted both inside and outside airboxes when it was all out.

I should have mentioned this earlier but I forgot. I could really use a new heater controll for a non air truck and was wondering if anyone makes one with levers that are not the old pot metal. I would even take a used one for a driver if it was good shape. Just has to be driver quality. And the outside airbox on mine has a couple chips around the perimeter if anyone has a used one cheap.

http://www.classicparts.com/1969-72-...ctinfo/68-476/ I rebuilt the controls in one of my C20's with this kit and it works great. The levers in this kit are steel, not pot metal. Make sure you clean and lube the cables,, it makes a big difference. |

I used the kit also.I took the cables and locked on end of the center wire in a vise.Then I sprayed them with PB and worked them until they were sliding good.Then I coiled them and laid them in a oil drain pan with some oil.They' were then lubed with graphite and worked.13-14 years and they are still working good.
