1986 c30 454 build help

I have a 86 c30 454 that I am looking to build strictly for torque. The only change I have are doug thorley tri y headers with x-pipe and 2.5 exhaust. I have the peanut heads. My question is what intake and cam would fit for torque and what would I expect to gain. I know the engine has poor compression but I believe that's good for longevity. If I did get heads and did not change anything else what gains would I expect. Again I just want low rpm torque. If you guys think heads should be changed to oval what cam/intake would work and how much could I gain. Thanks!
