also got out the welder and made the battery box a little wider and just taking a shot at saving fifty bucks. lol

anyone know where I can source some springs for fromt drum brakes? anyone know how to convert to 19.5's? from 20'' daytons ?

For the springs some folks have found them on eBay, I believe you need a GM part number for that but I don't know how you would get that. Regarding converting to the wheel conversion I have no idea. I think I'd be looking for a parts truck. My advice is to stick with the daytons and look for some 22.5 rims. I'm told they will bolt right on to the center you have. The problem with the 19.5 is the tire selection is extremely limited. Most of them are small diameter which further reduces top speed.
More knowledgable folks may chime in with better advice. -Richard

Neat old rig! Raybestos has a pretty good catalog that covers older medium duty trucks. You'll have to look under General Motors, the GMC listings usually don't show many model numbers.

that's awesome that you got this truck did you go see it in nj? he seemed to have a bunch of these in his yard I think it was in Hopatcong if I am correct? I had my eyes on it but I have a few too many projects on the table to grab that.

Yeah found a truck on eBay in New Jersey, he did have a bunch of old stuff there and said 40 years of collecting.

Yeah the boom was off not part of the deal worked on it today got the fuel line squared away and the dash somewhat back together.
