This one was probably originally a highway department truck, the first coat of paint was orange so not an EMS/Fire truck but in the same league. NAPCO conversion and PTO winch appear to have been added when the truck was new.

Dusting this one off again...
Years ago I was at a local car show and an older fella there had a fully restored 62 big fire truck. He let me climb in and set down and look around. I even climbed on the back to look around. This fire truck was all original and was in pristine condition. Unfortunately I did not have a camera with me. But with today's technology every cell/smart phone and tablet has a camera on it. So I am Clint Eastwood (Spegetti Westren) now when I see a nice 60-66 or classic car, truck, hot rod, street rod, rat rod, muscle car, etc.

i've posted a few pics of my truck, but this thread it fits into. a 1961 k10 4x4. it was a search and rescue truck for yuba and sutter counties in n ca. was originally neptune green (then repainted red with white top) base model V8? 4sp with a pto for the winch. factory? the bell housing x-member is built for the driveshaft for the winch to go through. the green color is from the po. restoring to neptune green. this truck must have some good stories, as its been used well--------I do have a 61 hood back on it.
