SB to BB power steering pump

Is the power steering pump the same for a big block and small block in a 79 C10? Also were can I get the brackets for the big block power steering

On the pumps, the pressure outlet on the back, has part of the valve that comes out, that is a 1" hex nut, the older years have a flare fitting for the line, and the later years use an O ring, you can swap out the 1" fitting between pumps for all the years, to match the lines on the vehicle.

You might be able to mount the small block pump up in the big block brackets, but they never seemed to work that way for me very well, without tons of mods.

The only thing you might have to watch for, is the steel cases of some pumps have the return pointed badly, and it gets the hose close to the frame.

GM might still have the brackets. I dunno.
