Rear World Measurement Request
I just did a longbed to shortbed conversion and all the measurements were correct as far as everyone can tell, but my passenger side tire is slightly closer to the cab (mount) than the driver's side. Everyone says they need to be exactly the same, and I totally agree, but... it got me to thinking...
I am wondering, just for kicks, to see how things are in the real world on an original truck. Can a few of you guys measure from a static point on the frame (not the cab which can move) back to each tire, or to the Axle itself, whatever you prefer, and tell me if your's is the same distance for each side, or how far off is it? It doesn't matter if it's a longbed or shortbed, or how long the actual measurement is really, only what the difference is between the left and right side. The results might be interesting. So again, we all know the theory, but what IS it on our trucks? I'll start the poll with my 3/4' difference... Thanks!
