Hood Hinges

Anyone ever "rebuild" or re-rivit the 79 or older style. I have a feeling not just the rivits worn. Thanks for any input.

Never done it or had it done but I have been htinking of using these guys...

Normally they do Chevelles/Camaros but I emailed and yes, they can do our hinges too.

Anyone tried them before?

If they're bound up try spraying Wurth HHS2000 penetrating lube into the pivot points. Unlike spray lithium grease... It flows like water. A heavy silicone grease is left behind in all of the little nooks and crannies after the light solvent carrier flashes off.

Why not just get new ones? I did that on my 77. Them and a tad bit of white grease and they work perfectly.

Thanks for the info guys. Rock auto has them for 22 a piece might go that route.
