Hood Hinges
Anyone ever "rebuild" or re-rivit the 79 or older style. I have a feeling not just the rivits worn. Thanks for any input.

Never done it or had it done but I have been htinking of using these guys...
http://www.hoodhingerepair.com/ Normally they do Chevelles/Camaros but I emailed and yes, they can do our hinges too. Anyone tried them before? |

If they're bound up try spraying Wurth HHS2000 penetrating lube into the pivot points. Unlike spray lithium grease... It flows like water. A heavy silicone grease is left behind in all of the little nooks and crannies after the light solvent carrier flashes off.

Why not just get new ones? I did that on my 77. Them and a tad bit of white grease and they work perfectly.
