Dumb question: Brake switch on master cylinder

*** Oops, not on the master cylinder, but on the distribution/prop valve.

What the heck is this switch for? Is it a low pressure warning, or ????

it turns on the dash warning light when one side of the system had a big pressure drop from the other side.
