Original front bumper
I have an original front bumper on my son's 68 that is slightly tweaked and wanted to know what my options are for repair?
Is it better to just buy an after market one? |

If you don't get any good info, I'll give you the number for the company that re-did the bumpers on my 74.

hOW SLIGHTLY TWEAKED IS IT? YOU CAN BEND THEM BACK IF ITS NOT TOO BAD. HARD TO TELL WITHOUT SEEING IT. YOU CAN GO HERE FOR A SHOP IN HOUSTON BUT YOU MAY FIND A PLACE CLOSER.

If there is a kink in it, take it off and get creative about using a couple of big hammers(one like a dolly behind it, the other to hit with).
Or for a bend in it chain one end to a tree and bend the other end around where you need it etc. Works best if you have a helper to help hold on to things. You just might surprise yourself, a budget replacement is $100 so what have you got to loose? |
