Gold? Sandalwood? Parchment? Are any of them the same?

I changed my 1970 K10 SWB original “Gold” sun visors to a nice pair of Parchment sunvisors I had because they are closer to the Truck World Cheyenne Super Parchment and Houndstooth seat upholstery and the arm rests and door panels.

“Gold” visors top right. Other 2 pairs are Parchment.

Someone asked if the original 1970 sunvisors that the SPID calls out as “Gold” are the same as “Sandalwood”? Thanks in advance for the info

Parchment, can be called off white.
Sandalwood, can be called call gold.
They are very close and sometimes hard to tell when they are dirty and sun baked.
When it comes to matching up with “new” parts, it’s going to tricky and not perfect. The newer parts are going to be off a little on the shades. I have ran across this issue when I’m redoing belts for people that are restoring their trucks & blazers. Depending on “where” they have bought their new parts, they can all be off just slightly. Every manufacturer seems to have their own version of certain colors. I always try and get samples from people before doing the belts because of this. I had one guy that refused to send me any samples, and insisted that his “new” seat covers were “parchment”, and for me to just do the belts(dye & webbing) as I would for an “original parchment” interior. Well that ended in disaster. When he gets the belts, he’s furious with me because they don’t match. And I agreed, they didn’t. But the “parchment” on his new seat covers were more white white. I would have known that had he sent me samples. Then the webbing color in the last photo would have matched much better with his new seat covers and interior.

These came out of a 1970 C20. They are a little bit darker than parchment.

I would suspect that when brand new, all the different suppliers colors also did not match. They would compliment each other but highly suspect any exact matches were ever in a new truck.

It's a frustrating dilemma, the aftermarket still does not have full coverage of colors of interior components used between '67-'72. All three colors, gold, sandalwood, parchment are different.
