Re: What is your favorite performance muffler?
I just use inexpensive turbo mufflers. The Flowmaster style mufflers are TOO LOUD for my style of CRUISIN'!

Re: What is your favorite performance muffler?
I'm with Big Al, Dynomax Race Magnums ( a little loud) or Dynomax Super Turbo (a little quieter). Both of these make great power, and with an x-pipe, sound great! My .02

Re: What is your favorite performance muffler?
I have Flowtech Terminators on my '05 GMC Sierra - really love it (very raspy)
I have Flowtech Afterburners on my '69 C10 - like it a lot (deep sound) I HAD Thrush Turbo mufflers on my '69 C10 - didn't like it (sounded like a school bus) I had a flowmaster 40 series on my '92 c1500 (sold it) - loved it (throaty)

Re: What is your favorite performance muffler?
It's hard to beat Magnaflow. They are some of the best built mufflers out there, aside from the fact that they sound the best, too! (personal opinion, of course!).
But! I ran a set of $14 (ea) Thrush Turbo's on a Chevelle for about 8 years and 100,000 miles before they let loose. They sounded decent, but not great. But if you're on a budget, go for it. Last edited by 69GMCLonghorn; 05-26-2009 at 03:25 PM. |

Re: What is your favorite performance muffler?
I would have to say flowmaster. Also I read that someone said they are running an X-pipe, could you please post up a picture of that?

Re: What is your favorite performance muffler?
Dynomax ultraflo welded. Deep throaty tone, great straighthru design that is less restrictive than a flowmaster, and has none of the annoying resonance of flowmasters.

Re: What is your favorite performance muffler?
I really have ran just about everything out there
Flowmaster Magnaflow Dynomax Thrush summit turbos Hooker Aero chambers Cherry Bomb Glasspacks and by far the best in my opinion is Borla, but they maybe one of the most expensive.
