Hmmm, The grill is not a correct 55 grill.
Bondo should be outlawed.

Horrible!
The seller should have to "secure" something before thinking he could sell that.

I know it is definitely not my cup of tea. Just looking at it reminds me of some of the old cars I had in Pennsylvania, like if I hit a bump to hard I would loose a gallon of bondo. It has potential for some one, just not me though.

That grille is only for '48-'53 trucks, '54-'55 1st series have different grilles that look much better.

i hate the way it has the one piece body and the back bumper, if you are going to go do something like that to a truck you should atleast put a roll pan on it

As far as the grill goes,it is popular to switch the grills, just like running a 67-8 on a 69-72.For my taste it would need a rollpan with flush lights and 3" out of the roof. The sides look good.It is hard to tell in a pic how much bondo was used.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Actually in this case, one man's treasure is every other man's trash....
How many gallons of Bondo do you think are in that thing? I say at least 3. |

Ooops I never clicke don the link, I thought the black flamed truck was the one we were commenting on. I just checked the linked truck and I would say a good 5 gallon pail on Bondo was need for a Unibody??? what the hell is wrong with people. Don't get me wrong, it's cool to see what kind of imagination some people have, but some people thoughts, like what he was thinking when he built this truck, should be kept to themselves

There was a peach colored one in classic trucks a while back that was a unibody.Looked good other than the color.Did the same as this truck, made the bedsides.A local body shop has done at least 2.One is a 70c10.It was a longbed. The front of the bed was removed. The side was trimmed so the outerskin was left. The outer skin on the cab was trimmed and the bed was slid forward so the outer bed skin became the new cab skin.It fit right to the door pillar. The back of the bed was shortened .When done it was 6.5 foot bed.Of course the frame was shortened. No more filler than you would use for any paint prep.Of course I can't speak for the one on e-bay.The only time I saw the 70 was at a show in wilmington De.

I'd be interested to see how that thing holds up the first time they hit a pothole, speed bump or pulled into a driveway that would flex the frame. I bet it'd fall to pieces.

If it was built right it wouldn't.Ford built unibodys in the early 60's.Looked cool and didn't break apart.

The add does not say if bondo was used or if it was welded, but either way (if the welds are poor) that thing will fall apart if the frame ever flexes. he better not go over any bumps at an angle. . I wonder if he shortened the width of a newer bed and and then attached the early wheel wells; otherwise that would take more bondo than autozone could possible have in stock.
