A writer/photographer for the local paper stopped by tonight to take pictures and interview me about our trucks. He's going to do a short article and photo layout to promote our local car club, and our upcoming car show during our annual local event "Sweet Corn Days". While they were lined up I thought it would be a good time to snap some pics.

Thats kind of funny that you have "Sweet Corn Days." Our big local event is the "Sweet Corn and Watermelon Festival." It is held every year in August. We've got a cruise night to kick it off and then a car show to end it. Don't ya just love the midwest and all of our small town fruit and vegetable festivals?

And yes, I love your trucks. Very awesome looking.

Anyway it's Aug 2-5, this weekend, but the good stuff is Friday night 6-10 Classic Car cruise in and fireworks, and Saturday is the parade at 10:30, free all you can eat sweet corn from noon till it runs out, Car show from 10 till 4, register 10 till 12,misc activiteies and then a dance and beers uptown from 9 til 1 am.

Maybe you could come up and enjoy the activities and take home some parts too !!!

thats awesome man, must feel pretty good to sit and see and read about you and your trucks in the newspaper but one thing i couldnt help but notice is that the caption for the engine pic they say is the 70s engine but yet the firewall in the pic is orange and the 70 is green

He took a picture under the hood of the 70 too, but must have gotton them mixed up. Thats OK, he got the story details right.

WOW...I just had a brain cramp.

When one looks at our trucks...They look good from the front...from the back...and the sides. Even the tops look good.

Maybe thats why are trucks are the "ICONS" of a "New Generation" From one Green Machine to another...

Knowing this just makes me want to dance.

yeah, that red lwb just about convinced me not to shave the trim on my own truck, it looks great. Could we get some more details on that one? Maybe it has a build thread

Our local event is the Peach And Melon Festival First full week in August. LOL Sure brings back good old memories!
