New from Pensacola

Just bought a 72 C10 LWB, 307 w/2bbl carb and with a 3 on the tree. It was advertised as 80k on the engine, all matching.

I am deployed at the moment though. It was bought close to sight unseen. I had a good friend take a look at I was able to see it and talk to the previous owner via skype.

The engine is non-running and I was ok with that. In all reality the 307 is most likley going to get pulled for a bigger V8 somewhere down the line. I was told the carb is most likley the issue so I will rebuild it once I get home and go from there.

Rust is really good. From everything I have seen I am only dealing with surface rust, mostly on the frame at that.

I do have to change out a crossmember. It looks like someone tried to tow the truck at some point from it and tweaked it, I need to investigate more. Welding is fine, I have a 220 welder in the garage.

Overall I am super excited. I have wanted an older truck for a long time. I have spent the last 5 years playing with Jeeps. I do my own work and this won't be any different.
