The Silverado gets it done... Pics...

Just loaded up the images from Saturday's car show, my 78 won 1st for "Original Trucks." I'm pretty pumped about it!

Here's a picture or two... best part is, the guy I was next to in the 66 Nova SS had a cooler full of beer!

Please excuse this self-indulgent post, I'm just very happy

You see, you just need to get that nonsense about customizing that truck out of your head! Congratulations!

Ha, I actually had a guy come up to me, shake my hand, and say, "Thank you for not hot rodding this truck!"

I just found out I'll be deploying to Afghanistan sometime next summer, so between now and then I'm going to convert the AC to 134a, put stock manifolds/exhaust in, rebuild the carb, new shocks and bushings (if needed), and chrome the rear step bumper (hopefully all this gets done ha). After deployment it's either save up for a frame-off resto (shouldn't need much) or sell it and get a 78 project truck...

KMK454 -

Congratulations on your showing.

Sounds like you may be changing your direction from a previous post.

And I'd keep all the original parts so I could put it back to stock in a weekend... only concern would be cutting/filling on the door for the sport mirrors and also paying for it all
Check your PM... I'm a bit late.
