Re: NOS prices

Thats absurd. Carrol Shelby himself better whittle one out of wood and sign it, before Id pay anything close to that.

Re: NOS prices

I've been buying parts off eBay for about 8 years. I've seen the ups and downs and the steady rise overall for NOS parts. Over the last two years, many parts have gone from reasonable to ridiculous.

For a truck that supposedly is a dime a dozen and isn't considered as desirable as other models, it sure as hell isn't cheap to try and restore one.

Re: NOS prices

Some people are pitiful. -rant-

It's because of these assh*les that muscle cars and such are at a stupid high price. Leaving me and the younger generations screwed with 80s crap an no hopes of achieving a dream car in the neat future. I blame Barrett Jackson for this as well.

Still waiting for 75k for my decent 70 Cuda without some stupid hemi conversion. But for now a muscle truck will have to make do ( not that I hate the trucks obviously) 1800 for a steering wheel??!!! And I've seen bid wars on NOS seatbelt plastic sleeves for mopars! 800 dollars for some damn sheet metal stamps and headlight stickers.....

WHY? It's original ONCE and they were crap then in all honesty nothing fit

+1, I feel the same way. I guess the way that I see it, in about 10 to 15 years when the baby boomers flood the market with all their muscle cars and realize that very few people under 40 will care about them, I will step in and get some smoking deals, especially on the LS6 chevelle that my dad bought new, but is now in the hands of a private collector that will let no one view his collection.

Re: NOS prices

That was not a NOS wheel. All the texture was worn off the perimeter of the front, it should have looked like the back.

Re: NOS prices

Just think of all the other stuff that person could have bought for that kind of money if they could've lived with their old wheel (assuming they bought it for a truck). You don't even see steering wheels for old muscle cars going for that kind of money

Just this winter I paid 500 bucks for my truck. Its just mind boggling to think that they could have bought 3 running, driving trucks that were on the road until 2 years ago and still have some change left over. But instead they ended up with a steering wheel, which could be slightly used for all we know.

Yes, the definition of NOS is New Old Stock, not Used Old Junk. That guy is certainly not going to be happy when he gets his "new" used wheel
