New product from Lokar

Just got off the phone with a Lokar rep. I called to get a part number on a brake pedal pad that would fit. I picked up one from Summit that was all wrong. He told me they just released a brake pedal pad that is a direct fit for 67-72 Chevy Trucks. Summit won't have them in stock until 5/2. I found one at Jegs. http://www.jegs.com/i/Lokar/625/BAG-6167/10002/-1

Just wanted to share the news.

Re: New product from Lokar

FYI. The Lokar automatic brake pedal pad and the brake & clutch pedal pads are available in a brushed or black finish. They are curved to match the factory arm with rubber inserts for added traction. There are two different brake pedal pads available. There is the standard size that is about the same size as the factory rubber pad and we have an extended pad that is 2 1/2" longer to the left. All the mounting hardware is included. We also have a pedal pad for the foot operated e-brake assembly. If there is any questions please contact our Tech Department Toll free 1-877-469-7440 Thank you John Impy

The also have a Direct Bolt in for our 67-72 Gas Pedals. (With the Mount on the Foirewall).
I have a standing "Back Order" with "Dream Rods" out of Washington, for the Gas Pedal, and Matching Brake, E-Brake Pedal Cover along with Carb Cable and Kickdown cable. Everything is setting me back about $371.00.

I've been looking at OEM Gas Pedals for over 7 years now, and especially since my Interior was recently re-done, I can hardly wait to get those "Black Pedals" outta there.

John, do you have a stock looking pedal that is longer to the left? I always thought the brake pedal looked to be too close to the gas pedal.

DZNUKS,
When I first discovered these Pedals in March of 2011, they listed them as avaliable in a "Brush Aluminum" finish or a "Black Aluminum Finish".
I did see 1 picture of them in Black, but since then I've been told by Chris at Dreamrods, that the Brushed Aluminum is the only choice they come in????

Re: New product from Lokar

The lokar throttle pedal assemblies, automatic brake and clutch and e-brake pads are all available in brushed and our black midnight series. The throttle pedal is available for 1967-1970 that will convert to a throttle cable from a factory throttle rod. 1971-1972 that will bolt directly in the factory location. We also have an automatic brake pedal pad that is longer to the left.

Re: New product from Lokar

Hotroddimpy - a quick question/clarification before I place an order

The "BAG-6164" is a direct bolt in to my 1970 (uses existing mounting holes)?
I'd just have to drill a hole in the firewall for the Lokar throttle cable?

If yes - any photos available of whereabouts on the firewall the cable should come through (so it lines up correctly with the throttle pedal assembly)

Thanks

Re: New product from Lokar

HD2000 You are correct. You will use an existing hole that is in the firewall. The hole in most cases has a plastic firewall pad retaining button in. You will remove that button and drill that hole out to 1/2". We also supply a Billet firewall trim plate for the engine side to cover the hole that the oem pedal arm came through. If you have any questions you can call toll free 877-469-7440 Thanks John

Re: New product from Lokar

For the 1971-1972 Chevy/GMC trucks that have a throttle cable from the factory we just added a billet throttle pedal pad to our C-10 line. This pad is a direct replacement for the factory throttle pad using the stock throttle assembly and matches our Curved brake, clutch and e-brake pads for those who choose not to replace the whole pedal assembly.
