WoooHooo!!! First Time Drive!!!

Finally drove the 67 today!! Bought it on May 12th and only spent what I had to spend to get it running and road worthy. Today I did my final flight checks, topped off the gear box and rolled out! Drove up to the school by my house, back down my road, past the house and around the block. WOOO HOOOO!! I felt like celebratin with a beer but I don't have any! My childhood friend is comin' over after work and followin me to the gas station and around to make sure nothins goin wrong I can't see. I'll post pics then!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!

Re: WoooHooo!!! First Time Drive!!!

Thanks! I keep watching the clock waitin' for my buddy to get here!! BTW, I haven't studied it yet but does anyone know if I can shorten the throw on my shifter? Its one of those floor conversions. Is it like a Hurst where I can adjust the end stops?

Re: WoooHooo!!! First Time Drive!!!

Ok. Rule #1 Dont ask some one who doesnt know how to take pictures to take pictures. We got back from my first semi long distance test drive and my buddy only had a few crappy pics but he did have a four minute movie that was to big to easily email or text!
Ok, so for the pics I do have: The first is of me fuelin up for the first time. No more gas cans! And no I didn't install a digital sign on the roof of my truck (refer to rule #1)`Second, first stop at a red light (refer to rule #1). Third, our first chore together!
It did very well but it definately rides like a dump truck and I gotta do somethin with the three speed.

Re: WoooHooo!!! First Time Drive!!!

A day at the spa!! Got the oil changed, scrubbed all the glass, cleaned the motor twice, removed the wood bed slats so the bed doesn't sound like a giant tamboreen. Did a lot of stuff and the guys were all over it! Biggest recomendations? Drop it and add wheels and leave it.
