Re: Lets see your emblem collections

That's a good collection. There's more to collecting than quantity. That Custom door badge is in great shape. You don't see those that nice too often. I see emblems as jewels. I'm a casual collector. I don't have any pictures of them together or of each one. I've actually sold some due to hard times that I wanted to keep. I'm leaning towards unusual GMC ones now, although those are somewhat monotonous, being the same emblem but with a different filler.
Here's a couple rare ones I sold,since I had to take pictures:

Re: Lets see your emblem collections

Well, I'm new to collecting, and 6 is all I got left of my original collection, I used to have a set of '67-'68 Chevy front fender emblems for a C/10 and C/30, I also got a set of '69-'72 GMC hood lettering someplace to.

Re: Lets see your emblem collections

Here is an updated photo of my emblem collection. I was wondering, I just bought some blue colored '67-'68 C/30 fender emblems, which are pictured below, and I was curious if those were rare, because I have never seen them in blue, I've only seen them in red?, and they don't look to be re-painted or anything. Anyways thanks, please post pics of your emblem collections.

I will have to see if I can get mine all together tomorrow and take a couple of pictures. I have them scattered all over the place. I don't have a lot of them but I'm not really a collector either. I just save them when I can get them off easily.

Re: Lets see your emblem collections

My dad has always collected emblems and hood ornaments. He has put a Cadillac emblem on his best lawn mowers and put a Lincoln hood ornament on my truck hood back in the 1970's! Since I grew up with the truck, I thought it was a Chevy emblem! He also has an empressive Buick and Pontiac collection he made into a welded steel thingie for display....I'll post a pic tomorrow if I remember.

There's a few I haven't found yet, not sure where I put them. Here are the ones I did find. I think my wife hid the others..... I know a couple of them are not for our trucks but I liked them anyway. If I find the others I will post them up later.

Re: Lets see your emblem collections

Chevy continued to use the 67/68 style fender emblems on 69-72 StepVans (blue) and on to '73-up (yellow)
