Wood bed questions

1) How involved and about what does it cost to change a steel floor bed to a wood bed floor. I found some kits online, but they were much cheaper than i remembered and there were no descriptions to tell if it was all you needed to change one over.

2) Does anybody know who makes that kit that flips up one of the bed planks to fill up your gas tank?

Thanks

Please get a spray in liner so that you can actually use your truck.
I installed a white maple and stainless strips in my 67 only because I could not find a steel floor up here. That actually took the truck restoration in a totally diffirent direction than planned. I cant put anything in the box unless I want to chip the inside or put scratches in the stainless strips.

If you want to switch you will need,

Rear Cross sill
3 floor cross sills
1 brace that goes from tub to tub also called a cross sill
strips and bolts
Headboard. (Mar-K makes a perfect fit)
Thoes mud flaps things behing the rear wheels.

Check out Mar-K awesome products.

Low69cst:
Our complete instruction is online http://www.mar-k.com/67-72conv.pdf . PDF file won't print but can be viewed with acrobat 5.1 or newer. These should give you an idea of the work involved to do the conversion. Catalog is also online and has all prices with the various options. Basic kit is ups shipment and goes free freight. We manufacture all the parts needed, you can get the kit complete or buy parts separately.
