Rear suspension is jarring when hitting bumps

1960 GMC 1000 series.

New POL rear coil spring, standard ride height

Shocks - replaced about 5 years ago, but they might not be correct

New POL adjustable trackbar (panhard bar).

Whenever I hit a bump (even small potholes) the rear suspension hits HARD and is quite brutal.

The only thing I can think of is that the shocks are underpowered or too short and not able to dampen the rebound from the new coil springs?

Anyone have an good recommendations for rear shocks for these trucks if we think that is the issue?

Thanks for any ideas.
