Painless wirring problems.

I just finished wirring in the headlight brake lights and turn signals and none will work. I checked and none have power when I turn the lights on but the dash lights up. What did I forget? Or what could be wrong I'm stumped right now. Fuses are all good too. Any suggestions?

Grounds? Half of the under hood connector that goes to the fusebox?

Sorry for the obvious silly stuff but it may be somehting silly.

No it could be something silly that I've forgotten. Maybe I should make sure the "grounds" are actually grounding.

Re: Painless wirring problems.

Is that the one beside the turn signal? I checked for power at the switch and it has power.

Re: Painless wirring problems.

Ok just checked some more stuff and the high beams have power but no low beams and no power to the turn signals or park lights or the rear. I've put one of these in my Cheyenne and I'm using it as a reference but everything looks the same.

Re: Painless wirring problems.

Also when I press the brakes the dash lights come on. Something's gotta be causing this.

Re: Painless wirring problems.

Ok I fixed the head lights and tail lights the plug hadn't seated firmly enough. But my brake lights won't work and the dash lights up when I press the brake pedal.

Re: Painless wirring problems.

Sounds like it is backfeeding from lack of good ground.

Re: Painless wirring problems.

Turns out that brake clip by the pedal was on wrong flipped it and brake lights work now. And the box wasn't grounded enough so it gave a week light. I ran a ground wire from a good source and everything works brighter. Funny how something like that flipped wire can make the dash light come on instead of the brakes
