Tilt wiring adapter

I might be buying the repro tilt column from Brothers, but from what I understand, you need a wiring adapter. Can't find any other info. I really don't want to spend $20 for something I don't need, so do I need it?

Thanks

Re: Tilt wiring adapter

Do not mean to hijack this thread but i had a stock 3 on the tree column that had the adapter when i pulled it from the truck and when i put the tilt wheel (automatic) i did not need the adaptor. the half moon truck harness pluged right into the column harness. Am i missing something.

Re: Tilt wiring adapter

This is the new reproduction from Brothers, from the pics I can't tell which connector it has. Thanks for the help, sounds like I'll have to get the part.

Re: Tilt wiring adapter

Your stock truck harness is the half round one. A lot of aftermarket turn signal switches and columns come with a flat connector. You need to adapter to interface the two. You might could re pin the flat pins into a used half round connector off an old column, but I have never tried it.
