Driveline part help
I have this plate after where the ujoint is mounted that spins and makes a horrible racket that I would like to get ride of the noise I got some pictures of the plate. Just need some help I'm a newbie haha

That's a dust cap for your seal. It should not be loose but you do need to have one. See all that crud. It keeps that crud from your seal.

itll be abit of a paint to remove it, but its not that important. but id probably clean it up wiht some brake cleaner and then some rtv to glue it to the pinion so it doens tmake noises anymore

that piece should be pressed onto the yoke. I can see shiney metal between yoke and the plate.

Some Rtv gasket maker will work to put it on to the pinion?

the bell/flare shaped sheet metal piece is in there the right direction, just not far enough towards the U joint. It should be up against the shoulder of the yoke. Not on the pinion. It is pressed on but a few carefull taps with a small hammer and punch will do the trick.

I appreciate the effort I think I fixed it i had some all purpose cement and primer and I used that and it seems like it is working thank you though
