Can I remove it?? I want to eliminate it.

I guess that I would not remove it. It is part of your vent/vapor recovery system and it is there to route vapors to your canister.

If you do decide to remove it, you will need to address the lines from the tank and canister, especially the tank because you may have a gasoline leak caused by the open lines.

If it's the tube I am thinking of, it is simply a vent tube for fillling up the tank. If you remove it it will take you forever to pump gas in the tank without the pump cutting off

When pumping gas the nozzle shuts off anyway if you stick it to far in. I don't have the charcoal canister on my blazer anyway. This is why I want to address the issue, I'm thinking it's effecting my gas milage. Do trucks have this? And if not what if all these guys are adding blazer tanks? Somethings got to give.

I don't think it is effecting you gas mileage unless it is leaking gas on the ground, but I think if you remove it you'll be looking at some 30 minute fill-ups...if you don't think so remove it and plug it and see what happens

Reumster,

First off I don't know of anyway it can effect your fuel milage in less it's leaking quit a bit, and if thats the case I would have it fixed. Trucks do have the vent hose just not the tube, the gas tank in the trucks run a vent line up through the cab roof.
Now if you want to remove the tube, that could be done as long as you reroute the gas hose so that it will vent. The only problem with this is if it is below the tank it's going to fill up with gas sooner or later and start draining the tank. You may be able to put it inside the sheet metal cover that covers the filler tube up if you wanted hid.
I would suggest getting under the blazer and see where it goes and how it's hooked up to the tank, and go from there.
