what do i check first
Well I got my cab on and wired everything up in the engine bay. My problem is it cranks over and and when I crank it will fire but when the key switch goes to the run position it will not run. So I am not getting power to the coil from the run side of the switch. So what do I check first. And is the key switch run wire directly to the coil .thanks for any help.

Re: what do i check first
The run wire goes from the switch directly to the coil so your problem is in the wire or the switch. Since the engine runs with the starter engaged the wire from the starter solenod is intact. I am assuming that you still have the resistor wire in the run wiring so I would check that first as they are known to burn out.

Re: what do i check first
Just to follow up, it was the plug connector at the switch. But also I noticed that I had 12 volts running through the resistor wire After i got a good connection so I went ahead and put a resistor block in and brought it back down to about 8 volts. Starts and runs good.
