Returning Member 68 GMC SWB
Hello all! I am a returning member and new to the 4 headlight club. You might have seen my WIW add about this 68 GMC.
Well I made the purchase and both the buyer and the 91 year old seller were happy with the outcome. I have several questions about the truck but before I ask I will post some pictures so i dont get the dreaded - "thread is worthless without pictures" message. Darrell |

Re: Returning Member 68 GMC SWB
Now to the Questions...
I have never seen an interior like this. I know that in 68, Chevy had an anv package but this is a GMC. Interior trim is silver and the seat has gold piping and shiny cloth. It looks a little to high end to be in a a truck. Also, bezel is silver. and there is no SPID in the box and looks like there was never one there. could there be a build sheet in the seat? |

Re: Returning Member 68 GMC SWB
Also, the trim fell off during my was job. Is this factory primer? or was this truck possibly 2 tone red and yellow?
Under the black paint in the side trim is red as well. no pic yet. |

Wash job? I think you need to hit it again LOL.
Nice truck. I have no clue about the oddities, but maybe gramps pimped it up in the 1980's.

Re: Returning Member 68 GMC SWB
I like the truck. Quite a few 67-68 gmc trucks didn't have a spid in the glovebox and i believe until 69, the gmc trucks used a chevy bumper with no cut outs on front.
The bezel should be silver in 67-68. Only chevy had the 50th in 68. Not sure about your seat. Looks like a great find!
