Drop spindle

Recently picked up a 90 1500 for Jay
Got a nice set 15x8 rally wheels
Will a 2in drop spindle go without trimming with the 15in rally.

Re: Drop spindle

Doubt it. Had to trim the lower arm on my 94 even with 17's. Have the trimmed and boxed lower arms and a pair of 4" drop leaves I can list on the parts board. PM me with location if interested.

x2. The 15x6" van ralleys even require some clearance effort. Not sure what the back space is for them but prob right around that 3.75" number.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Very possible. I was thinking the 8" versions got the 4" BS & the 7" had 4.25" but it's been a minute since I've had a set of each around.

I measured & took pics of each Ralley wheel size backspacing back around 2000. Unfortunately, they were stored in a 'numbers' file on my home computer which stayed w/the X when we split in 2012.

Very helpful link.
Unfortunately, it reminds me that I'm apparently getting old enough that the numbers are starting to get scrambled upstairs.

Re: Drop spindle

Thanks for the link.
Still probably leave it be til the k5 gets to roller status.
Then we can drop it.
He wants a 5-7 on 18x10 and 18x12 with 14in rotors
The 18x10 we have with a 5.5 bs fits up front. Surprisingly.

And get kill switches on everything.
My crewcab was stolen and recovered Tuesday.
Still can't believe other than battery cables it's largely untouched

Definitely, and I wasn't looking forward to the fight with the insurance company about the value of a crew cab short bed, a 135k one at that.
