sheet metal thickness ?? roof / doors ??
I am going to buy some sheet metal and am not sure of the gauge thickeness I will need ,anyone have any answers??

Most of the sheet metal on these years is 16-18 guage

the answer is .035 according to the piece 'I cut out of the roof..... I was asking because I was at work and was going to see the metal supply guy ..I bought 19 gauge . 20 gauge would be the closest at .0359.....

Same here.. Its a little thick for some things if you need to pound and shape it. Also when you weld it to the old metal, make sure you start on the new thicker metal so you dont burn a hole in the old piece..
