What's the rectangular box on the brake booster? Master Cylinder cover of some kind?

If I'm not mistaken thats the one I posted a pic of a while back that was built by "Sport Trucks by Dean".

I said at that time it may very well be the best looking truck I've seen yet, and believe it or not someone said it was "hideous"

How can anyone not like it? oh well, different strokes 4 different folks I guess.

Yes, that truck is truly BEAUTIFUL! My plans are to have the same look with my 67 4x4 (maybe not the shaved door handles) but I want it black and clean with no emblems or chrome other than the grill loops and headlight bezels. When I build a 2wd, it will probably be very much like than one.

Any one insterested in supporting my cause and investing heavily?

She's a beauty! There was one in Classic Trucks...very similar only red...same thing. I can't get that look out of my mind. Everytime I look at my '67 I see something like this...monochrome, plain and simple and running in the weeds!

If it weren't for all the mistakes I made...this would be a part time job!

Aw dang it, I just messed my keyboard up from all the droooolll! That thing is BEAUTIFUL! My 67 will look very similar. I can not decide to go with a chrome or painted bumper in the front though. This truck makes me want to do the painted one.
What y'all think? Painted or chrome?

Cool! How did they manage to get a "Port-o-potty" in the back? How convenient!

...wait. That's on the other side of the truck. Oops.

Cool

The red one in Classic Trucks mag, the guy even shaved the center hump in the hood. Makes the hood IMO.

Thumbs up

I saw that truck some time late last year and it's the truck that moved me to start looking for a truck of my own. Not sure if ya'll remeber but I posted this pic to sort of "preview" how I want to build my truck.

Thanks to the original pic from board member toms68cst.

Church, that is a tough question (painted or chrome) but it's one you'll have to answer for yourself. Everybodys taste is different so it's whatever pleases you. Personally, I think that if you have the chrome trim around windshield and back window, have all body emblems and trim, I would go with a chrome bumper. I am taking all the emblems, chrome and trim off my truck so I am going with a painted bumper. That's just my opinion.

Although I like the painted bumper, I think I'm sticking with the chrome one since it will be a daily driver. I think the chrome one will hold up better to the rocks and debris hitting it. I'm leaving the door handles and mirrors but shaving all the trim. I think the chrome front and rear bumper will look pretty good against a carolina blue metallic 67. I just playing with the idea of the smooth bumper at this point since I'm not ready to buy the bumpers yet anyway. Thanks

fine looking truck...but for my money you can leave the 35 or 40's on 20's on the rice burners. All I know you couldn't drive that combo on in my neck of the woods w/o ruining the rims in short order
