1978 k10 rear diff

are wrecking yard differentials any good or would it be better to pull my rear diff and stick a new ring and pinion in it? It is a 12 bolt 373 rear

Unless you found one just rebuilt i would rebuild yours.If i was going to use a junkyard one it would be a 14 bolt and rebuild it.
