Re: Traction bars

I don't have any concrete numbers, but I can honestly say my caltracs work good. I think Smith Racecraft makes something for the leafsprung trucks, you'd have to ask since they aren't posted up on the site. I don't know the price either. Haulin It(Lorne) from the 73-87chevytrucks site made his own version of the caltracs and they turned out good and I don't think they cost him too much. But I think you'll be happy with the caltracs.

Re: Traction bars

There's a lot worse ways to spend 400 bucks than Cal-Tracs

Re: Traction bars

Caltracs are the poor mans 4 link . I tore leaf spring pads off and twisted axle shafts . Caltracs work . The S-10 will get split monos , Caltracs , and double adjustable shocks

Re: Traction bars

Quick question: Do Caltracs increase cornering traction issues on normal street driving?

Thanks-

I think it depends on the vehicle, but yes on a 2 wheel dropped it does somewhat.

Re: Traction bars

I have a 73 stepside and looking to get a pair of caltracs part number 3900 I think, but the delima is that I have a 4/6 drop on the truck and a belltech 6850 flip kit in the rear and I bought a set of 8 leaf springs set so I can tuck under my weld draglites 15X10
5X5 bolt pattern and there is one set of bolt pattern on the rims. And I have 29 X 12.5 hoosier pro street tires. Has that slight staggerd look. Belltechs new street performance shocks. ride awesomes. I really want Hoosier 31 X 15.5. Trying to hook up in the rear, is my setup wrong for drag racing.
Thank you for your much needed support. Pics on the way
