radio and cig lighter quit

i pressed in the cig lighter to smoke a cigar, but i heard a pop from my radio and they both stoped. the fuses on the fuse block look to be fine. any ideas?

I have ran into a few fuses that looked fine. Get a ohm meter or one of those fancy little fuse testers from one of the local auto stores, and test the fuse.

If you have a 700r4 and the wiring is still factory wiring, I think the lockup for the 700r4 is on the same circuit as the radio, don't remember the cig lighter being on that circuit though. If it's an aftermarket radio, guess whoever installed it could have tied it into the lighter power instead of the radio power. Also, if it's an afermarket radio, could have an inline fuse in the power wire, but that wouldln't explain the lighter not working.

my radio is tied into the cig lighter cause ol red didn't come with a radio, and i never use the lighter so, ....

the cig lighter, memory for radio and dome light are all on the same ckt, you probably blew the fuse check the dome light fuse.
