HELP! Wipers wont go down.

First off the 82 DOES'NT have the wiper delay module. It's just has the 2 speed wiper switch.

The wipers work fine on both speeds, but when I shut them off they stop where ever they're at when I hit the switch, whether it be top, middle or bottom. Any help to get them to go back to home resting position once I shut them off would be greatly appreciated.

My old truck wouldn't dock. Fiddle farted around with the wiper motor. Never did get them to dock. Timing the swipe was cheaper than a new wiper motor.

I did try all the cheap fixes, new motor was the next one.

Had the problem on my 77 chev truck and finally had to replace the wiper motor

Thanks a lot fellas, I believe I will take it apart this weekend and piddle with it. If all else fails just have to spend a little extra cash and buy a new motor.
